Less than a year after her death, Christina Grimmie’s family continues to release new music on her behalf.
On Thursday (February 16), the lyric video for Grimmie’s latest single “Invisible” was released. For the South Jersey native, the release of “Invisible” marks the first single of hers to be released by a major record label (Universial Music Group), a dream she had always had.
Earlier this week, Grimmie’s family shared a message on social media about the release of the song and how it would mark Grimmie’s dream finally coming true.
“As an independent artist, Christina dreamed of a major record label distributing her music” the statement read. “That dream has COME TRUE for our dear angel…Universal Music Group, the world’s largest music company, will be releasing Christina’s new music under Republic Records.”
According to People, the Grimmie family will donate proceeds from purchases of the song to establish a memorial fund in her name.
