Actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus had the perfect celebration after Northwestern University was selected for the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament.
After 78 years of not doing so, the Northwestern University men’s basketball team was selected to their first NCAA Tournament on Sunday (March 12). Along with the many others who celebrated the feat, famed alum Julia Louis-Dreyfus did so as well with one perfectly crafted tweet.
“We’re going to the dance, boys! @NUMensBball making history!” she wrote, alongside a clip of her Seinfeld character Elaine Benes’ famed little kick dance. The scene is arguably Louis-Dreyfus’ most iconic one from the famed sitcom.
Being one of the school’s most famous alums is not the only connection Louis-Dreyfus has to Northwestern. Her son Charlie Hall is also a walk-on for the men’s basketball team.
Northwestern will take on Vanderbilt University in their first game on Thursday, March 16.
