Ed Sheeran’s third studio album Divide may barley only be a week old, but it’s already the best selling album of 2017.
After its release on March 3, Sheeran’s Divide has already sold more than 322,000 copies. That total makes Divide 2017’s best selling album, topping Bruno Mars’ 24K Magic which has sold roughly 230,000 copies this year, according to Billboard.
Sheeran’s latest album has already achieved a number of incredible feats such as having two of its singles, “Shape of You” and “Castle On The Hill,” simultaneously debut in the top-10 on the charts. All 16 tracks from the album also formed the actual top-16 on Spotify’s Top 50 chart in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
The 26-year-old singer will capitalize off the success of his album with a North American tour beginning in June of this year. On July 11, Sheeran’s tour will make a stop in Philadelphia at the Wells Fargo Center.
