‘The Big Bang Theory’ Spinoff ‘Young Sheldon’ Is A Go

The Big Bang Theory fans it’s your lucky day because your favorite series is getting a new spinoff – Young Sheldon!

CBS has ordered an unspecified number of episodes for the new series Young Sheldon. The series will follow the popular Big Bang Theory character Sheldon Cooper, played by Jim Parsons, at the age of nine, living with his family and attending high school in East Texas.

Young Sheldon will star Iain Armitage, of Big Little Lies fame, and will be narrated by Jim Parsons as adult Sheldon.

The series will be a single-camera comedy with half-hour episodes.

While it has been announced for broadcast during the 2017-18 season, no specific premiere date has been set.
