Can you imagine one of the Spice Girls helping you at an airport check-in? For some of London’s Heathrow Airport passengers this was a reality, yet they may not have even known it.
As part of Red Nose Day 2017, Spice Girl Emma Bunton, or Baby Spice as many know her as, went undercover as a British Airways employee to prank some of the airline’s passengers. As they were checking-in, Bunton had a little fun with the passengers, attempting to get them to dance and more.
During her interactions, Bunton also managed to slip in a few Spice Girl references. She flawlessly worked in lyrics from songs such as “2 Become 1,” “Spice Up Your Life,” “Stop” and “Wannabe” into her conversations.
Bunton even at one point asked a passenger who her favorite Spice Girl was. After the passenger replied “the sporty one,” Bunton asked for her second favorite, which thankfully was her.
Red Nose Day is a fundraising campaign organized by Comic Relief where people come together to have fun and raise money. In the UK, money is raised to make a difference in the lives of thousands of people who are facing injustice or living in poverty across Africa and the UK. Here in the United States, the money raised goes to helping children who are most in need in our own country, as well as some of the poorest communities in the world.
This year Red Nose Day will be celebrated in the UK on March 24. In the United States it will be celebrated on May 25.
