It has been 20 years since we first laid our eyes on Buffy The Vampire Slayer and to celebrate the cast got back together.
Everyone from Seth Green to David Boreanaz to the show’s star Sarah Michelle Gellar were there, along with the show’s creator Joss Wheadon. Their interview and photo shoot with Entertainment Weekly marked the first one the cast has done as a group in over a decade.
“For the most part, this is like a high school reunion, but much worse because they all still look really great” said Wheadon, who called the moment “surreal.” “I was hoping some of them would puff out a bit, but that did not take place.”
Gellar told the magazine she was “incredibly proud” of what the cast had created. “Sometimes you need a distance to really understand the gravitas of that. I really appreciate everything about that job.”
The latest edition of Entertainment Weekly, which features Gellar and Boreanaz on the cover, hits news stands Friday (March 30).
Buffy The Vampire Slayer ran for seven seasons from 1997 – 2003.
