Can you imagine if Sex And The City had a different opening? Well, it almost did.
Every Sex And The City fan remembers the show’s opening sequence where Sarah Jessica Parker’s character Carrie Bradshaw walks down a busy New York City street only to be splashed by a puddle courtesy of a city bus with her face on the side of it. The famous opening could have not been, should have alternate footage was chosen, which Parker has just shared for the world to see.
The 52-year-old actress took to social media to share what she called the “alternate title sequence.”
“Lost footage. The alternate and never used title sequence from ‘SATC.’ A really nice memory” she wrote.
The alternate sequence sees Bradshaw walking down a busy New York City street, much like in the now-famous opening sequence, but instead of getting splashed by a puddle, her character trips before playing it off with a twirl.
Sex and the City ran for six seasons from 1998 – 2004. The series was then converted into two films, Sex and the City and Sex and the City 2, which were released in 2008 and 2010.
