The 10th annual Roots Picnic happens in Philadelphia this weekend and Roots member Tariq “Black Thought” Trotter is ready to help concert goers with their wardrobe.
Philadelphia native Black Thought has partnered with independent footwear brand Clear Weather to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Roots Picnic. In honor of the music festival’s anniversary, the MC and the footwear brand will release a limited edition sneaker, that will also come with its very own picnic basket, blanket, and dust bag, as well as shoe trees and cleaner wipes.

According to Clear Weather, the sneaker is made of “top notch white full grain leather” and will feature a “tumbled crème brûlée leather heel mustache.” Black Thought called the sneaker a “classic clean summer motif” that is reminiscent of some of his favorite designs.
The commemorative sneaker and picnic set will be available at the Philadelphia boutique UBIQ starting 8:00 pm Thursday, June 1. They will then become available online Friday, June 2.
The 10th annual Roots Picnic will take place Saturday, June 3 at Festival Pier at Penn’s Landing. Artists scheduled to perform include Pharrell Williams, who will perform with The Roots, Lil Wayne, Beyoncé’s younger sister Solange, Jeezy, 21 Savage, Kimbra and more!
