Better late than never.
19 years after she officially departed from one of the most popular music groups off all-time, Geri Halliwell, aka Giner Spice, has finally apologized for leaving the Spice Girls.
“I’m sorry about that,” Halliwell wrote in a message on Twitter in response to a fan video recounting her departure. “Everything works out in the end, that’s what my mum says!”

In 1998, Halliwell abruptly left the group in the middle of their world tour. Her departure is the reason many fans believe the group eventually split in 2000.
Since then the Spice Girls have made several reunion appearances. Their most notable one came during the closing ceremonies of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
